Industrial Vision
Because all Cerebellum Automation servo boards already feature a FireWire port and a fast CPU, the incremental
cost of getting industrial vision is reduced to the cost of the camera, which can be as low as 300EUR!No need for PC, smart camera, analog camera, acquisition board, frame grabber, processing system, additional CPU... With this approach, putting multiple cameras in your system has a very low incremental cost. Cerebellum Automation's low cost vision system features all the basic tools: - convolutions, gradients, binary threshold - filters, morphology - mathematical operations on frames (additions, subtractions, multiplications) - histograms - blob finder and analysis - circle finder, line finder, point finder - rulers - relative tools - camera calibration In addition, the vision system is tightly integrated with the motion
(indeed: it runs on the same CPU, in the same program!)
and therefore eliminates all the communication and synchronization latencies that can be found on other systems: your application
reacts as fast as possible! The object locations computed by the vision library are directly usable in the motion control application program. The Cerebellum Automation Integrated Development Environment (CIDE) includes all tools required to calibrate fixed and moving cameras. This level of integration between motion and vision makes our technology particularly efficient for vision associated with motion applications (Visual Servoing). Typical applications are: - contour following and digitalization - polishing - inspection and ejection - assembly of large tolerance parts (e.g. plastic) - food packaging - PCB inspection The setup of the vision application is done through the Cerebellum Automation Integrated Development Environment (CIDE) and then runs autonomously on our servo boards. |
